Charleston, SC: Everybody's "I need to go there!" City

Just posted my Chalreston, SC review article and I think it's going to be one that a lot of you are interested in. As I note in the blog title, it really seems to be one of those cities that any time I mention it, people are always responding with how much they love it, or how much they really want to go. And frankly, that made me really glad I finally pulled the trigger on a trip there.

Going down there in January, might not be everyone's first inclination, but trust me it was a fantastic choice. The city was amazingly calm, we were never rushed or crowded anywhere. Yea it rained a bit, but hey, that's travel. You need to plan a bit, but hope for the best. We mostly got the best.

Walking, eating, just plain looking/watching, it was a really fantastic weekend. I think you could definitely do another couple of days if you tacked on the beach towns, too, and you wouldn't be bored. Especially if you like to bar hop and sip away the day.

We have a lot of different ages and demos in our reader list, but this is one of those cities that's good for all, really. If I had a nickle for every time one of us said, "Wow, look at that" or "This place feels like a different country" as we stared at amazing houses and architecture - well, I'd have a lot of nickles.

I covered my suggested activities for a short weekend, my favorite food spots from both my experience and pre-trip research, and point you in the right direction for where to stay. Be sure to check out the full article!
